one of these days i will learn to actually update the journal more than thrice a year.

its the time of year i need to remind myself, and fortify myself with hard liquor, that i DO like my job. really. ah, mall retail. alas, this means less time for fun stuff. like playing with the sumi ink and supplies i picked up. trying to work with more of the black and white mediums, like the charcoal and sumi, seeing as i am mostly colorblind, and it is real embarrassingly to ask the housemate if the colors i am using are right. so far the sumi ink has been fun. there was a lot of Okami doodling a few days ago.

broke out the paints again, so there will definitely be more art as i play through this bastard of a game.

on a weird side note. i have all these finished canvas' laying around...anyone wanna buy a painting for rather cheap?

was hijacked after work and played with poi for a few hours. there is something ungodly addictive about firespinning. love it. learned a few more moves, got a new set of practice poi. life is good.

it was a rainy day. took the camera and took some photos of falling apart buildings along the train line through the city. cunningly avoided all 'no trespassing' signs. stood next to many of them though. great fun. great fun.

great fun was had at AniZona last week. lily gets a good ol' 'i told ya so' for suggesting i might wanna, you know, take commissions and sell my damn Okami art. and since the paintings really are kinda littering my living room and dining room, if anyone wants the originals from the entries here, send me a note. if anyone has a character or whatnot they would like done, or would like me to paint something in that style, send me a note. i have bamboo brushes and i am not afraid to use them!
